Dr. Delois Hurst
Dr. Hurst is committed to excellent up-to-date and comprehensive podiatric care. She approaches each patient with compassion and takes time to get to know her patients and their foot and ankle concerns. Everyone’s economic, life, and health is unique, so it’s important to care for each patient individually. Her goal is to treat and maintain foot and ankle health so that patients can get back on their feet and continue the activities they love.
At home, Dr. Hurst delights in the time she spends with her 16 year-old-daughter Zoe and her 21-year-old Zachary. She spends any extra time she has creating paintings and working in various mediums of art.
Dr. Hurst grew up in Denver, Colorado where she first got her start in medicine as a surgical technologist after graduating summa cum laude in her class. She completed her bachelor’s degree with a double major in biology and nutrition. Dr. Hurst received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where she also served as an ombudsman. She started her residency at Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Pennsylvania and finished as an Officer in the United States Army. She has several publications concerning traumatic foot and ankle injuries and research in complex regional pain syndrome.
